The unit locks onto a signal, with in 5 minutes it looses the signal, if I reset the station it comes back for 5 minutes April 10, 2010 Paul E. Scharp (Lowell, IN United States) The unit sounds good. But shouldn't new radios come with HD reception? Also, it can't hold a signal for 5 minutes. When I find a local station - that plays great on every other radio, it plays for minutes on this unit just fine, then starts to slowly loose the signal and drift until its just all static.
Love the flash player - I think all stereos should have this.
RCA Stereo RS2664 August 25, 2009 T. Alford (Beech Island, SC) The service from the seller was great - fast delivery. Unit looks good, has good power, features, and sound. However, the tuner seems to tend to drift on all but the very closest stations. Other than that one thing, I'm satisfied with it.
FM tuner fades out August 20, 2009 Mark E. Montgomery 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Bought this stereo system from HEB food store here in San Antonio for $99. The only problem I have had with it is that, as several other reviewers have noted, the FM radio stations seem to fade out a couple of minutes after you turn it on. You can turn it off and turn it back on, or just switch around to a few different stations and then switch back to the station you want to listen to, and it will be okay for awhile.
All the other features on this stereo system work great, and the thing has exceptional sound quality. Unfortunately, one of the main things I like to listen to is the local NPR station, so I'm still debating the fate of this stereo. Right now I just have a clock radio sitting on top of it for when I want to listen to the radio, but that just ain't right!....lol
