Product Description Its easy to swap between your two iDevices, complete with programmable color coordination. And this JVC dual dock features all the amenities youd expect from an iPod dock: an alarm, video out, audio in, but most impressively, the neatest little remote weve seen in a dock yet. The thing has a real scroll wheel. Seriously, you dont see this in iPod docks, so I wonder if JVC is paying an arm and a leg for the convenience (though Id bet that they are just a little more generous with their patent interpretations).

Great Ipod dock July 16, 2010 Da Vinchi (San diego, CA USA) We had this unit for about two years now, and I am happy to say that it still works great. My wife uses it i her SPA studio daily and it works great. It charges two iphones and or ipods and you can use it to listen to your playlist or Pandora.
The only two thing that can improve its portability is:
a) it does not have a cigaret light adaptor for car and boat users.
b) the power adaptor is big and heavy!
Sound quality is great for a small room and no more!
If what you need this device to charge your iphones and ipods and play music in your room, then you can not go wrong buying this, however if you are planing to take to your hotel room on your vacation then its a bit cumbersome!
Good for a docking station, awful for an alarm/clock January 6, 2010 Katie'sMom I recieved this as a gift and was very excited. Unfortunately I can't use this for the purpose of an alarm clock and I'll have to hock in on Craigslist. My complaints:
1. you have to program everything through the remote
2. Mine does have a snooze but it's only 5 mins long and when in snooze mode you can't see the clock (blinks "snooze")
3. you have to turn off the alarm by using the power button on the remote - not easy at 4am in the dark
4. when the alarm goes off the unit blinks bright blue lights- hubby doesn't need to wake up too
5. complicated set up - I consider myself fairly intellegent and I still can't get the alarm to go off using my ipod.
I would suggest another brand/product if you want to use this for an alarm clock otherwise the quality is good, the sound is good and it does recharge my ipod and iphone.
Job done half-right September 11, 2009 bb (TX) This epitomizes not finishing the job. Good concept that doesn't have all the features a system of this price should have (~$100 when I purchased it). Had this about a year now. There were some great starts and ideas, but basic features were left off. For instance, snooze?! An alarm clock with no snooze? You could set up the 3 'wake-up timers' - I guess it can't be an alarm without a snooze - in staggered intervals so you have a snooze-like function. Another downside is the brightness of the display. it lights up the whole room at night. Even with the display in the lowest eco-mode (which is off), there is enough light from the display that I had to cover it up in my efficiency apartment so I could sleep. The other option was unplug it for no display lighting. On the plus side, it's a great bluish night light. Other high notes, good sounding speakers for a system like this. Radio reception is fine. The dual-dock is great for the iPhone and iPod without a lot of cable clutter. As far as other reviews saying the time does not appear in certain modes, it will display in all modes. Default mode displays whatever you are listening too, whether the iPod dock or station that's tuned in. The clock displays with a simple push of the display button on the remote. This also highlights another shortcoming of the device, critical functions such as display mode and the 'set' button are only found on the remote, while the all-important color/demo button sits there uselessly on the system itself. Lastly, it is annoying that every time you change songs on the iPod, the display reverts back to telling you the mode its in versus the last display setting. I think I have enough memory capacity in my 7-bit brain to remember just having pushed the skip button for the iPod. I don't need to be reminded of the mode. The display should revert to the last display used not the factory default - another strike in design development.
One star off for lacking the critical functions on the system itself (buttons on the dock and snooze). Another star deducted for display intensity levels and lack of alarm set (wake timer) feedback in the display. Over all, squarely mediocre for design, but compared to what's out there with dual docks, they all have their flaws. As far as sound, it is more than adequate as a radio-caliber system. Now you know what this one is lacking and can hopefully pick the least annoying system for you.
Very good quality, best affordable sound system for iphone May 31, 2009 George A. Van Helfteren (California, CA USA) This product still shows the message saying that is not made for the iphone, but it does everything, charge, play, alarm, lights, I have no noise at all in any call so the filter works. Not very powerful like many other expensive brands, but perfect for ambient sound and useful in the bedroom. Nice product overall, really good price
Amazing sound for what amounts to a clock radio... May 19, 2009 Sean Hicks (Dallas, TX) You can't beat the features for the price. Great sound for something so small, dual docks capable of receiving two iPhones simultaneously, three alarm settings, good looking design, comes with everything you need. Most similar solution only have one dock and aren't iPhone compatible. Now I can dock mine AND the wife's, not to mention set an alarm for just Monday through Friday, an alarm for just Sunday morning and still have a third alarm setting available for those rare Saturdays where getting up at a certain time is necessary. Brilliant! Only gets docked a star because most of the controls are on the remote. If that thing ever gets lost or breaks (it's no bigger than a credit card), the unit will be useless.
