Sharp mini coponent system, CDMPX880, great sound and stylish at that. Easy to load, and shuffel play is smooth. I like it .
A BOOM'in boom box April 14, 2010 J. G. Mckinnis 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is really a nice unit. I thought because it was small that you really couldn't get a great sound out of it but I was wrong. It is easy to change out the discs also. Also nice to have a 5 disc changer. I would recommend it!

Tape Eater April 1, 2010 D. Butler 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this unit brand new about two months ago after my old Sharp system, (which had served me well for almost 8 years), died. The first thing I noticed is that the included speakers lack low-end response. I took the much beefier speakers from my old system and hooked them up, and it sounds okay.
The cd changer is well designed, but appears flimsy. The pro is that the trays operate separately from one another, so if one goes out, you can still use the other four, (as opposed to a spinning cd changer).
The main reason I bought this unit was because it had a dual cassette deck. I still use tapes, (a lot). I had played a couple of tapes in slot 2, but hadn't even touched slot 1 until the other night when I tried to dub a tape. That's when I realized that this thing eats tapes like nobody's business. We're talking brand new tapes being played in a brand new deck here. I even inspected the tape to make sure it was wound super tight, etc. After this happened three times, I gave up. Looks like now I have to try and find a separate tape deck component.
A NOTE TO SHARP - The reason I stuck with buying a product by your company was solely because the previous unit I had purchased from you was of relatively high quality. I understand that a lot has changed in the last 8 years, but when you cut costs on your manufacturing and design, you end up with sub-par merchandise. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER ELECTRONIC COMPONENT OF ANY KIND FROM SHARP.

I bought this product because it didn't have powered speakers. and had enough power to drive top notch speakers.wish it had a custom EQ setting, and a USB port instead of an audio in. wish list aside the unit performs very welland I like the that it can play mp3 disks also receiced it 2 days early
